1. WEBSITE USE
This website provides information about Tommys Bodyshop Glasgow and allows customers to contact us and request information or quotations for vehicle repair work.
Information on the website is provided for general guidance and may be updated from time to time.
Submitting an enquiry or quote request through this website does not by itself create a contract for repair work.
2. QUOTE REQUESTS
Customers may provide vehicle details, descriptions of damage and photographs to help us understand the repair required.
Any initial indication or quotation based solely on photographs or information supplied remotely may be subject to inspection of the vehicle.
Where the extent of damage cannot reasonably be established until the vehicle is inspected or work begins, we will discuss any material change to the proposed work or price with you before carrying out additional chargeable work.
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
3. REPAIR AGREEMENTS
A repair agreement is formed when the repair work, price or pricing basis and relevant arrangements have been agreed between you and Tommys Bodyshop Glasgow.
We will carry out agreed services with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with your statutory rights.
The exact nature of bodywork repairs may depend on the condition of the vehicle and the damage discovered during inspection or repair.
4. PRICES
Prices or quotations will relate to the work described at the time they are provided.
If additional damage or necessary work becomes apparent that was not reasonably identifiable when the original quotation was prepared, we will contact you before carrying out material additional chargeable work.
We will not deliberately add unrelated chargeable work without your agreement.
5. VEHICLE INFORMATION AND AUTHORITY
By asking us to carry out work on a vehicle, you confirm that you are the owner of the vehicle or otherwise have authority to authorise the repair.
You should tell us about any relevant vehicle condition, previous repair, modification or issue that could reasonably affect the work being requested.
6. PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs uploaded through our website are used to help us understand the damage and respond to your enquiry.
Photographs do not replace a physical inspection where one is necessary to determine the full extent of the damage or repair required.
Please avoid including unnecessary personal information in photographs.
7. COMPLETION TIMES
Any estimated completion date or repair timescale is an estimate unless we expressly agree otherwise.
Vehicle repair work can sometimes be affected by matters such as:
- Additional damage discovered during repair
- Parts or materials availability
- Supplier delays
- Insurance authorisation where applicable
- Circumstances outside our reasonable control
If a significant delay occurs, we will aim to keep you informed.
8. ADDITIONAL WORK
If we identify additional work that we consider necessary or advisable, we will explain this to you and seek agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for safety or to prevent further damage and it is not reasonably possible to contact you.
9. COLLECTION OF VEHICLES
Customers should arrange to collect their vehicle within a reasonable period once notified that agreed work has been completed.
Any specific collection or storage arrangements will be discussed with the customer where necessary.
We recommend removing money, valuables and unnecessary personal belongings from vehicles before leaving them with us.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where loss or damage results from a failure by us to take reasonable care.
10. INSURANCE-RELATED REPAIRS
Where your repair relates to an insurance claim, you may need to provide information requested by your insurer or obtain any necessary authorisation.
Unless expressly confirmed otherwise, references on this website to insurance repairs do not mean that Tommys Bodyshop Glasgow is approved, appointed or endorsed by every insurer.
Responsibility for payment and insurer involvement will depend on the arrangements agreed for the particular repair.
11. CANCELLATIONS
If you need to cancel or rearrange repair work, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Any applicable statutory cancellation rights will remain unaffected.
Where particular cancellation arrangements apply to a repair booking, these will be explained when the booking is agreed.
We do not use these Terms to remove or restrict cancellation rights that you have under applicable consumer law.
12. CUSTOMER RIGHTS
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Services supplied to consumers are subject to applicable UK consumer protection law, including requirements relating to reasonable care and skill.
If you believe there is a problem with work carried out by us, please contact us so that we can investigate the issue.
13. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
This includes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under consumer protection law.
Subject to applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control or losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the relevant agreement was made.
14. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY
We aim to keep this website accurate and available, but we cannot guarantee that access will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
We may change, suspend or update parts of the website when reasonably necessary.
